There are several social media in Singapore, who are very fond of making Singaporean minorities, especially Malay relishing in their self-victimization by publishing individual cases of Chinese derogation. Many of the "antagonist" in these write up are not even Singaporean Chinese.
Then the Malay commenters will troll and troll cursing Chinese as racist.
These websites without further balanced view achieve nothing, other than filling Chinese with too much unnecessary guilt, and condition Singaporean Chinese into pussy imbecile. Many weak minded Chinese quickly jumped into the fray and do some funny soul searching without looking at bigger picture.
Who is derogating who?
The derogation of Chinese are individual. Many Chinese commenters condemn the people who make uncouth remarks. In comparison, the derogation of Malays against Chinese are societal. In reality, the Malaysian Chinese are big victim of Malay's verbal insults and racial slur on daily basis. Malaysian Malays have taken big trouble to publish more than one version of nazi masterpiece "Lagu Cina Babi", aka Chinese Pig Song. The one embedded on this blog have a record hit of more than 1 million views.
On the comments in the youtube, we see large numbers of entries of stuff such as "Chinese fxxker", "Chinese pig"..and all sorts of humiliation one can never imagined.
A look up on the exact phrase "Cina Babi" (Chinese pig) returns close to 40,000 entries in google. Together with other slurs as well as many non-slur racist pages and comments, Malays' racial insults could be close or pass millions of entries.
Pig is considered unclean in Islam. Insulting a race as pig is the most atrocious act of a Muslim. If Chinese what Malays have did in reciprocal, they will likely face racial pogroms.
In the midst of insults and humiliation, one should expect a few Malaysian Chinese's occasional vent of anger against Malays. One should empathize. Unfortunately each individual slur from a Chinese is nailed down as good evidences that Chinese are racist.
